Guests in the gallery were then sprayed by what is believed to be pepper spray.
The DA’s John Steenhuisen then accused Zuma of breaking the country and the speaker of breaking Parliament.
His statement was met by jeers and swear words by members of the ANC.
The DA then walked out.
Zuma then started his speech as if nothing happened.
