At an awards ceremony held in Durban on February 10, the Ladysmith Criminal Record and Crime Scene Management Unit (CR & CSM) were given recognition for their work.

In the category ‘Best Performer in Crime Scene Investigating’, Constable Siphamandla Nkosi was placed first in the province of KZN for medium sized CR & CSM offices.

Warrant Officer Babongile Ndlamlenze was placed third in the category of ‘Best Performer in the Criminalistics Bureau’ and Warrant Officer Suren Domun was placed second in the category for ‘Best Performer: Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) Expert’.

The Ladysmith CR & CSM unit also received accolades for being the ‘Third Best Criminalistics Bureau in KZN’.
