19-year old arrested in Dannhauser for possession of illegal ammunition

Upon searching the suspect's residence, police found 64 .38 live rounds of ammunition.

ANNIEVILLE FARM – Dannhauser police arrested a 19-year-old man for the possession of illegal ammunition, at Annieville Farm on February 19.

Sergeant M. Nyembe of Dannhauser SAPS Corporate Communications said police were conducting special operations, when they received a tip-off that the suspect was in possession of an illegal firearm.

Upon searching the suspect’s residence, police found 64 .38 live rounds of ammunition.

However, no weapon could be found.

The suspect was arrested and charged, and police investigations continue.
