Update: Dry taps as uThukela fails to supply water to Ladysmith residents

At this stage, over 250,000 homes are without water and uThukela is still trying to figure out what is causing the problem

uThukela spokesperson Jabulani Mkhonza has commented on the water cuts.

“The situation is not clear as yet, but our engineers are currently on site trying to establish the root cause of the problem,” said the uThukela spokesperson.

At this stage, over 250,000 homes are without water and uThukela is still trying to figure out what is causing the problem.

Officials are waiting for a report from the engineers, and uThukela apologises for any inconvenience caused.
