Weenen Primêr welcomes new principal

As Principal, she has facilitated a smooth transition at Weenen Primêre and pledges her continued support to the ethos and educational values of the school

Sandra Bagirathi is the newly appointed Principal to Weenen Primêr. She assumed duty on February 1 this year.

Ms Bagirathi matriculated from Drakensberg Secondary and holds several degrees from the University of South Africa. She has been in education for 18 years to date, with many years of experience in the private sector.

She embarked on teacher training at Thomas More College in Kloof, as an intern, under the mentorship of Mr Ken Garside, Mrs Margie McKeown and Mrs Mimi Wilms.

She worked in contract positions at Weenen Primary, AI Kajee Primary and Forderville Primary.

She then went on to Estcourt High School and spent 14 years as an English teacher, eventually as a Senior English Teacher. She joined Weenen Primêre in July 2016.

As Principal, she has facilitated a smooth transition at Weenen Primêr and pledges her continued support to the ethos and educational values of the school. Weenen Primêr warmly welcomes her and wishes her well in this new journey of her education career.
