Another year, another delay for Papkuilsfontein road

In May 2016, the municipality commented that that the delay was due to hot mix being unavailable to complete the project

The road to service delivery is a long one for those travelling on the Papkuilsfontein road. A bumpy road that leads to the entrance of the area has been under construction for more than a year.

In January 2016, the potholed tar surface was scraped off, leaving behind a gravel road that was pitted with protruding stones. After a few weeks, the repair project was abandoned.

Months turned into a year and there is still no official word from Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality about when the project will resume.

In May 2016, the municipality commented that that the delay was due to hot mix being unavailable to complete the project.

Numerous emails have been sent to the local municipality since November 2016 requesting feedback about the road repair but none of these have been answered.
