Since last Thursday residents in some parts of Forderville have been experiencing water interruptions.
In some areas, residents had to deal with not a drop of water from the taps and had to rely solely on the generosity of other residents or wait for the erratic trips from the water tanker.
Frustration reached boiling point, when some residents, were still without water on Tuesday morning.
“This is unacceptable. It’s going into the sixth day. When I called I was told that there is a problem with the water pressure and it will be fixed but we still have no water,” said one resident.
The resident added that the water tanker had been to the area once during the week; thankfully residents are able to obtain water at the Al-Imdaad Foundation in Keate Street.
Last Thursday, uThukela District Municipality was contacted to explain the reason for the water interruptions. At the time of going to press on Tuesday morning, no response was received.
