A new trend appears to be breaking into homes during the day
Thieves target play school
Heartless thieves targeted Eden Play School on Victoria Street last Thursday, making off with a kettle, two plate electric stove and two comforters. No arrests have been made.
Broken door makes for easy pickings
R600 in cash was stolen when thieves took advantage of a broken door in Sibongile to gain access to a house. No arrests have been made.
Identity theft concerns
A South African Social Security Association (SASSA) card was stolen along with identity card, clinic card when a RDP house was broken into in extension 18.
Daytime burglars strike
Daytime burglars made off with a grass cutter machine and four blankets valued at around R7 600 when they broke into a Luvuno Street house at around 1pm last Thursday. Fingerprints were taken and no arrests were made.
