‘Business end’ of the Bowls Business League
Nothing is impossible with bowls - as it is often said, 'it is all on the day'.
THE second last round of the Bowls Business League was played on Tuesday evening.
The powerhouse Van Eeden Electrical team continues to consolidate their position at the top of the log on 323 points. Second and third are keenly contested between Natal Plumbers on 281 points and VW on 269 points.
VW play Van Eeden Electrical in the last round. A big win for VW by a margin of 60 points (a big ask) over Van Eeden Electrical would see VW power themselves into second place. Nothing is impossible with bowls – as it is often said, ‘it is all on the day’. If necessary try a beer or tequila before the game as aiming juice.

After the conclusion of the games on Tuesday evening, tickets were sold for a luxury travel bag donated by Pick n Pay. All tickets were sold in a short time and this proved to be a great fundraiser for the Vryheid Bowling Club. Our sincere thanks to Pick n Pay. The balance of the scorecard points of competing teams is Liberty (250), Pro 5 (248), LMS (242), John Deere (240), Abaqulusi Spar (233), Build It (232), KZN Bodyworks (218), Hospice (217), Dales/van Heerden (209), Pick n Pay (201) and Oasis (194).
