JUST IN: Two main roads could close for repairs
Urgent repairs to two arterial roads by the municipality may result in closure or detours over the weekend.
The Newcastle Municipality has announced possible closure of two main roads this month.
According to a press release, affected areas will be:
The crossing of Boundary Road and Link Street – on June 9.
Albert Wessels Drive (from the Magnolia Street towards the N11) – on June 10 and 11.
“Construction and repairs may result in temporary deviations and road closure during construction works.”
The municipality added the above work would be carried out during working hours.
However, this depended on the supply of road materials and weather conditions.
