Ten Things Tuesday – Things to do to ensure you survive action cricket
Do not think lady bowlers make for easy pickings – hey, they can send down a googly or two to make Shane Warne proud.

Action Cricket is the new rage in Dundee.
The new arena next to the SPCA has brought great fun and plenty of action for both cricketers and non-cricketers alike.
But there are some rules you may need to know before picking up bat and ball.
1. Wear a box. Yes, it is friendly but sometimes people try and even up any business deals that may have gone wrong.
2. If you can’t play, its fine – it’s friendly – pretend you can.
3. Do not bluff yourself – that ball is hard – do not be hero and stand at silly point – that’s silly.
4. Do not get to the arena drunk. Normal people can’t see the ball so what chance would a drunk ou have?

5. If you can, go to the dentist first and get an injection to numb your face – it may save your face.
6. Do not pretend you are a child when batting – these bowlers are there to win even though it is fun! But yes there are plenty of gentlemen out there too!

7. Do not think lady bowlers make for easy pickings – hey, they can send down a googly or two to make Shane Warne proud.
8. Do not wear a fancy watch when fielding – I mean, even Ronaldo takes off his necklace when playing football, so who do you think you are?
9. Do not keep on appealing for run outs. Umpires get testy and just may run you out for sledging.

10. And when you see a bowler heading for the toilet when he is supposed to be bowling, please do not fright: that’s just his run up…
