Father's Day is right around the corner, and now you're scurrying around wondering what to get your dad.
Father’s Day is right around the corner, and now you’re scurrying around wondering what to get your dad.
In haste, you grab the first thing on the shelf, wrap it up and voila!
Yet the disappointment from another shoddy Father’s Day present should motivate you to put in more thought this year.
Don’t despair – here’s our list of what NOT to buy for Father’s Day:
- Socks

Although this seems to be a go-to gift, it’s not! He probably still hasn’t worn the patterned pair you bought him last year. Go for a new pair of running shoes and encourage him to get moving instead.
- Toiletries

Nice-smelling gifts are a good idea for a distant relative perhaps, but not for your father. He wants to be spoiled, so a new set of tools might be more his speed.
- Car magazines.

Dad can buy these fancy car magazines whenever he pleases. Rather find out who his favorite author or genre is and get him a new book for his collection.
- Useless gadgets.

Just because you were born in the 21st century, doesn’t mean Dad has your taste for fancy gadgets. Rather opt for a new set of fishing rods and gear, and accompany him on a relaxing trip to the dam. He will enjoy this far more than a game of Candy Crush Saga.
