The oldies giving a helping hand and feed needy kids

The Endumeni Senior Citizens Group always have amazing Wednesday mornings at the Glenridge Hall, Glencoe.
Under the eagle-eyed, Nirmala Neerahoo, the group keeps busy by exercising, undergoing regular check-ups – thanks to the hardworking Glenridge Clinic staff – and having their spiritual needs seen to thanks to by Guru Umeshvaran Nagiah.
There is always a delicious meal to enjoy … however, last Wednesday, to mark Mandela Day, the group fed about 25 needy children in the community, identified by the clinic staff. The grateful children were given food to take home as well as school stationery.
The seniors donated all the goodies themselves. There was also a huge Mandela-themed birthday cake, baked by Glencoe Spar, to enjoy. These seniors have certainly taught the younger generation how to be active and generous!
