Our sidewalks are havens for entrepreneurs

Do you support our informal sector who set up shop on the pavements?

While the local economy is still struggling and jobs are scarce, entrepreneurs are not getting despondent.

They are getting on with business using the pavements.  While some formal shop keepers  in the CBD in Dundee have long complained of the informal sector blocking pavements, making access to their shops difficult, the entrepreneurs appear to be thriving – you can have a new hair do, have your shoes repaired, by a pair of snazzy sunglasses and maybe even get a charm from a ‘fortune teller’ by simply walking down Victoria Street, between King Edward and Gladstone Streets.
