LHS choir excels at 2017 Eisteddfod

At the end of the Eisteddfod competition, the LHS choir achieved an A++ and a merit certificate for an outstanding performance

The Ladysmith High School (LHS) choir recently took part in the Eisteddfod which was held in Harrismith.

According to the rules, they had to sing three songs from different genres. The choir sang a traditional Zulu prayer “Ukuthula”, an Afrikaans love song “Voshaarnooi” and an English modern pop song “Africa – Toto”.

At the end of the Eisteddfod competition, the LHS choir achieved an A++ (above 90%) and a merit certificate for an outstanding performance.

They also received an accolade for the best performance and the best high school choir – a proud moment that will be remembered for a long time.
