Young boy struck by car while cycling just outside of Ladysmith

The boy was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment

A young boy was hit by a car yesterday afternoon (September 1) just outside Ladysmith on the Pieters road.

The boy, who is approximately 13 years old, was struck by the car while on his bicycle near the Caltex garage.

Emergency personnel, Public Safety, police and a towing service responded to the scene.

The boy sustained injuries due to the impact, but was said to be in a stable condition.

He was treated on scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital for further medical attention.
