The South African Police Service (SAPS) have vacancies that exist for entry level constables (trainees) within KwaZulu-Natal.

“We also state emphatically that no payment is required, so that we may prevent criminals from making use of this opportunity to prey on people,” explained police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig.
The applications are free for all who meet these requirements:
• You must be a South African citizen.
• Between the age of 18 and 30-years of age.
• Be in possession of a Grade 12/senior certificate or national certificate (vocational at level four) safety in society (relevant to the field of policing preference).
• Be good in at least English and one other official language.
• Have no previous criminal/departmental convictions/pending cases and such a person shall allow his or her fingerprints to be taken and allow background enquired to be made.
• Be in possession of a valid driving licence for at least a light motor vehicle.
• Not have any tattoos visible and opposite to the objectives of the SAPS.
• Complete a physical and medical examination, and declared fit.
• Undergo a psychometric assessment and fit the profile.
• Be prepared to undergo such training as determined by the National Commissioner.
• Be prepared to serve anywhere in the Republic.
The application forms must be completed in full with the following attachments and be returned to your police station/recruitment centre:
• Certified copy of your Identity Document (ID).
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Drivers licence.
• Proof of residence (preferably from a Ward Councillor).
