PREVIEW: Baby Hope finds her happily ever after

“She was like a ray of sunshine; that is how happy she is at her new home.”

It’s not everyday we see abandoned children that were placed in foster care, get a fairytale ending.

Yet, as fate would have it, Baby Hope was adopted on July 15.

Susan Theunissen, manager and head social worker at Home Meah, said she could not have asked for a more perfect adoptive family.

“From the moment they laid eyes on each other, I could see she was meant to be with that family. There was an immediate bond between the prospective parents and Baby Hope,” she added.

Susan said Baby Hope’s departure from the home was sad, as the staff at Home Meah had become very attached to her.

However, they were overjoyed for her, as she would now have the chance to live a normal life with a loving family.

“She is such a beautiful soul. She made all of our days seem brighter with her smiles and friendliness.”
