Belgium delegation to assist Nquthu development

The delegation is expected to be in Nquthu during the course of this week.

A delegation from the town of Bornem in Belgium will continue building ties with their ‘twin town’ of Nquthu this week.
The Honourable Deputy Mayor Councillor, Greet De Bruyn, will lead the Belgium delegation. The delegation is expected to be in Nquthu during the course of this week.
The main purpose of the technical mission is to assess the achievements and challenges on projects funded through a partnership agreement signed in 2013 between the two municipalities.
According to the report, projects such as community gardens, library development, youth development, waste management and other issues on the discussion table.
The delegates will also visit the buyback centres in Durban, in order to learn about recycling practices.
The two Municipalities will also launch the Nquthu Buyback centre on the September 28.
The Mayor of Nquthu, Councillor SM Kunene, is pleading to the community to give the Belgium delegation a warm welcome during their stay and support all efforts in developing Nquthu.
