Traditional healers from Ladysmith march against cannibals and illegal practices

The healers made their way from Forbes Street through town to the police station, where they handed over a memorandum

Traditional healers belonging to the Traditional Healers Organisation (THO), under Alfred Duma Local Municipality, staged a march earlier today (September 26) in Ladysmith.

The march, which started in Forbes Street, was against the recent cannibal practices and also the killings in the Estcourt area.

The traditional healers were also protesting against the many illegal practices that are taking place with regards to illegal abortions and healing methods that do not work.

The healers made their way from Forbes Street through town to the police station, where they handed over a memorandum containing their grievances to the station commander.

Public Safety controlled traffic flow while the march was underway.
