Domestic worker aids in robbery at Ladysmith home

The residents say that all the meat from their fridge was also taken during the robbery

Residents from a house in Lupin Avenue left their home with a sense of safety and security, knowing that their domestic worker was there…

Little did they know what was in store for them on Tuesday (October 10).

Around midday on Tuesday, the husband went home and saw that everything was in a mess. The home had been ransacked.

CCTV footage was shown to the homeowners, where the domestic worker can allegedly be seen helping two men put items from the house into bags before leaving the home.

The CCTV footage was taken from a home directly opposite the house that was robbed.

One of the men can be seen (according to the CCTV footage) carrying the stolen laptop under his arm and walking away.

Residents say that the safe in their home was completely ripped out of the wall. The safe contained wedding jewellery and an undisclosed amount of cash.
