18 people were arrested last weekend in the Uthukela Cluster. All were found in possession of either illegal firearms or drugs.
Officers from Amangwe SAPS arrested two men during stop and search operations in the Moyeni and Nkomokazini areas.
A 30-year-old man was arrested after being found in possession of a dangerous weapon and a 28-year-old man was found in possession of 3.03g of dagga.
Besters officers arrested two men who were found in possession of dagga.
The men, who are aged 29 and 35, were found to be in possession of small amounts of dagga.
Another man, aged 36, was arrested after being found in possession of suspected stolen property. The suspects were arrested in the Watersmeet area.
Estcourt officers arrested two men aged 35 and 40; the younger of the two was found with dagga. The second suspect was found with rolls of rope that he was unable to account for.

The suspects were arrested in the Estcourt CBD.
Officers from Ezakheni SAPS arrested four suspects aged between 23 and 58. They were all found to be in possession of small amounts of dagga.
Ntabamhlope officers arrested five suspects aged between 27 and 54, all found in possession of dagga.
Suspects were also arrested in the Kwa Dlamini, Kwa Mkhize and Emanjokweni areas.
Wembezi officers arrested two suspects, one aged 48, for being in possession of an illegal firearm (revolver) and three rounds of ammunition, as well as being in possession of 4.60g of dagga. The other suspect was also found to be in possession of dagga.
The total weight of the recovered dagga exceeded 10kg and is valued at around R15,000.
All the suspects appeared on Monday in various courts across the cluster.
