5 things to do in cold weather:
1. Comfort Food
A piping hot potjie is always a comforting way to embrace the cold outside. Share your best potjie recipes with us: email them to newed@caxton.co.za, and they may be published on our site.
2. Snuggle up
Onesie – check, hot chocolate – check, favourite book – check = #LifeIsComplete
3. Catch a movie
4. A good day to bake
One of the best ways to keep warm is to constantly move about. When the hot water bottle has gone cold and your hands are still frozen, dust off grandma’s recipe book and whip up something special for the whole family. Being near the warmth of the oven and the fragrance of cinnamon wafting through the house is #Heaven.
5. Learn a new craft
Crocheting – nope it’s not just for the elderly! Learn to crochet a pair of socks or a new jersey for Gypsy (the cat). As the adage goes; you’re never too old to learn.
