PREVIEW: Newcastle 911 gets a grip on October’s crime stats
Upon arrival it was determined the victim was the same suspect who had stabbed the first man in Kirkland Street.
Newcastle 911 CPF consolidated its October statistics, proving once again why it is a force to be reckoned with.
October 3 –
A suspect attempted to sell a laptop to a store in the CBD which matched the description of a stolen laptop.
Police were summoned and the suspect was arrested.
October 5 –
Members of the CPF were dispatched to an armed robbery which took place at MTN in Harding Street.
Together with the help of a local security firm and the SAPS K9 Unit, one suspect was arrested at the scene.
October 7 –
Members of the CPF were dispatched to Kirkland Street where a stabbing had taken place. The victim was transported to hospital, but the suspect had fled the scene.
A while later another call came through of a stabbing at the intersection of Memel Road and Allen Street. Upon arrival it was determined the victim was the same suspect who had stabbed the first man in Kirkland Street.
He too was transported to Madadeni Provincial Hospital.
Later on that evening, another call was received informing members of a stabbing which had occurred in Lennoxton. Members responded to the call and assisted at the scene until an ambulance arrived.
