Reaching out and helping the less fortunate in Ladysmith

Songs of praise were sung and a concluding prayer was said

On October 24 and 25, Project Cornerstone reached out and helped communities in need.

On the Wednesday, co-ordinator Mr K Bihaspat visited the Thusong Centre in Burford, as well as the Orphan & Vulnerable Centre in St Chad’s. The community members were treated to lunch packs with assorted fillings, sponsored and prepared by the Royal Hotel, as well as delicious, hot, creamy soup and bread.

Mr Bihaspat shared an insightful message during the visit, emphasising that “blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me (God).

“Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in Heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you”. The essence of Mr Bihaspat’s message was that when we follow Jesus, we will face trouble.

Songs of praise were sung and a concluding prayer was said.

Special thanks to Pastor Matthew Lee for his continuous spiritual guidance, and Mr and Mrs Lee for their tremendous support towards this outreach ministry.
