Toys for Joy – What is in a name?
Rest assured that all money donated is used in town

When Toys for Joy was begun with much fanfare, never in our wildest dreams did we realise how big it would become.
Ironically, with its success has come some confusion, with many NOT believing that this homegrown charity event (designed to help Ladysmith’s most needy) is not linked to ECR’s Toy Story drive.
“We are constantly asked why we are asking for money for out-of-town charities,” explained sales manager Diane Mackintosh.
Speaking on behalf of the Ladysmith Gazette, she stressed that every penny raised goes to help only locals.

The needy families are identified by schools, welfare and various religious organisations. “Rest assured that all money donated is used in town,” she explains.
“Our staff will be out raising money on Black Friday, so please be generous.”
