Officer shot as brazen robbers attack police station
A third suspect was waiting in a vehicle near the station and the suspects fled the scene in the direction of Dundee.
A female police officer is recovering after she was shot and wounded when armed men attacked her the Elandslaagte police station late on Friday night.
It is believed that two suspects entered the police station and attempted to rob the officer.
During the attack, the officer was shot in the leg and her firearm was taken.
The officer’s firearm was later recovered on scene at the police station.
