Watch: Old Aloes building in Ladysmith destroyed in fire

The old Aloes building in Salem Place was destroyed in a fire earlier today (November 20).

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

The fire started inside the building and destroyed almost everything.

Public Safety and the Ladysmith Fire Department responded to the scene.

It took firefighters almost two hours to put out the flames.

Old building supplies and many wooden items in the building were destroyed in the blaze.

No injuries were reported, as nobody was in the building at the time.

Many people gathered in the area after seeing thick black smoke in the air.
