Night Market makes a comeback

If you would like to book a stall, call 036 352 6253 and speak to Khaya, Reyah or Symphiwe

Harding Street will once again come alive with festivities when the popular Night Market takes place on December 15. Following concerns about crime and safety, the Night Market was cancelled during the past couple years.

This year, the initiative has been undertaken by Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality. The aim is to raise as much money possible for the Estcourt Hospice Association, while opening up the trade market for large, medium and small business people.

Described by the local municipality as a fundraising event, the market also doubles as a ‘nation building event that brings Estcourt residents together in celebration of the spirit of Christmas.”

The Night Market will take place in upper Harding Street from 5pm to 10pm. If you would like to book a stall, call 036 352 6253 and speak to Khaya, Reyah or Symphiwe.

Stalls may include food, agricultural produce, homemade products, arts and crafts and co-operatives and small, medium and micro enterprises are welcome.
