Fresh garden produce for Shepstone Place

The senior citizens of Shepstone Place enjoyed a nutritious meal with the vegetables

The South African Police Service (SAPS) Youth Desk at the Estcourt Station popped by at Shepstone Place Home for the Aged last Thursday.

They handed over fresh spinach and potatoes from their garden, which is grown as part of a community outreach programme.

The elderly at Shepstone Place welcomed the handover and were very grateful.

On behalf of the home Debbie Potgieter said: “We thank the SAPS for the support and this positive act of kindness for the elderly. We hope this is a start to a new relationship with SAPS.”
