The search is still on for the last missing child
Rumours that the last child had been found, proved to be false
Police have reassured family members and the community that they are doing all they can to find 8-year-old Ayabonga Steele, one of the children who went missing during the destructive storm.
Rumours surfaced today that Ayabonga had been found, after people saw police dogs searching the river past the Battlefields Country Lodge, out towards Vryheid.
However, that is not the case. Police received word that a body was seen floating in the river and promptly went out to search.
The information though, proved to be false.
The search continues as police officers have now stretched their search area further down the river, towards Greytown.
