For the first time in almost a decade someone other than former President Jacob Zuma will walk the red carpet to the doors of Parliament to deliver the State of the Nation Address tonight.

President Cyril Ramaphosa, who was inaugurated only yesterday, will at 7pm deliver his first SONA.  There are many questions being asked even though expectations are high:

How will he deal with corruption and state capture?

How will he deal with the chaos in SARS?

How will he deal with economic recovery?

How will he deal with the thorny land issue?

And there are so many other issues – and of course will some Ministers be looking for new jobs by tomorrow?

And how will the opposition react?  Will the EFF stage a walk out and give Speaker Baleka Mbete another torrid time?

But then again, the Proteas are taking on India and want to regain some pride and win? Maybe you will rather watch that?
