Newcastle SAPS Crime Prevention Group A arrested a total of eight suspects for being in possession of illegal narcotics on February 6 and February 7.

While conducting active patrols, implemented the arrests on the grounds of being in possession of dagga and Mandrax amongst other illegal narcotics.
One of the suspects arrested was believed to have been in possession of 15 full Mandrax tablets.
All eight suspects were charged accordingly and are expected to appear in court soon.
