Dough-nation Friday’s taking over
Fridays will be set aside as Friday Feeding Fund at the Dundee Crisis Centre.
Fridays will never be the same again at the Crisis Centre thanks to Shaheer Joosub with the help of Fathima Pandor who will be giving the needy a well deserved warm meal.
The Ice Charity Foundation was established by Shaheer in 2013 to help the needy. He concentrated in Wasbank where he is originally from, but this year he will work hand-in-hand with the Dundee Crisis Centre.
Fridays will be set aside as ‘Friday Feeding Fund’, where he will cook a meal for 50 people.
Shaheer said that “the dough-nation campaign aims to make a difference of R6 a day.
“One loaf of bread costs R6 and that amounts to R180 a month. We are looking for sponsorship with this initiative so people can donate money or drop off bread at the centre.”
Shaheer will also appreciate canned food which can be dropped off at the centre with Carol Bradley. “We have worked with the Crisis Centre before and we have witnessed how many people depend on the centre for food, ” said Fathima.
