Overgrown verges continue soaring

Since revealing its verge trimming schedule at the beginning of the year, Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality’s efforts are not visible in many areas.

Long grass still plagues most parts of residential and areas in the central business district.

The verge trimming schedule indicated that it had begun in some places in December and in other areas it was on-going.

Besides the unkempt look it poses, residents fear that the long grass provides an excellent hiding place for snakes and even burglars.
