Resident pays the price for poor service delivery

The family is seeking legal advice and says that this unfortunate incident is evident that Estcourt is deteriorating

The ruined roads in Estcourt have ensnared another victim. This time Jeannine Raciti paid the price for poor service delivery.

On Saturday evening, Mrs Raciti and her husband Angelo parked in Albert Street.

When Mrs Raciti got out of the vehicle, the foot sank into a deep pothole that borders the pavement and roadside. Her ankle, according to Mr Raciti ‘snapped’, resulting in a painful and costly experience.

Medical attention was sought and Mrs Raciti’s ankle was found to be broken and was placed in a cast. Further medical care will be required as Mrs Raciti recuperates. The family is seeking legal advice and says that this unfortunate incident is evident that Estcourt is deteriorating.

“I was born in Estcourt and I don’t recognise the town anymore. We have potholes, overgrown grass verges, water interruptions, illegal dumping…one can’t be proud to live in a town like this anymore, said Mr Raciti.

He further advises other residents to be vigilant when walking at night on pavements and roads in Estcourt.
