Potholes in Forbes Street have left Ladysmith motorists furious, as they feel the issue of “humongous potholes” is being ignored by the municipality.
Enormous potholes have taken over the whole street, leaving motorists having to use alternative routes to reach their respective destinations.
Motorists fear that these potholes will damage their vehicles, as they are very deep and difficult to dodge because they take up the whole street.
The potholes are getting bigger as the months go by.

“On numerous occasions, motorists have damaged their vehicles because of the potholes. When it’s nighttime, it is very hard to see the holes, as they are covered with water and people generally drive into them. It’s no joke when your vehicle gets damaged!” said a concerned motorist.
The road is also very busy, with many taxis using this route due to the fact that a taxi rank is situated in Forbes Street.
“I really hope this road gets fixed before a major accident takes place,” added another motorist.
