This now cleaned pavement in Brewitt Road was previously mounted with rubbish.

The sidewalk just outside 40 Brewitt Road was choked with heaps rubbish about two weeks ago.

The mere sight put people off, the homeowners who operate a “recycling business illegally,” were issued a contravention notice by the municipality following a resident who is gravely concerned about the eyesore.

The resident was also disturbed by the health hazard the waste collection and recycling company posed to the environment and the fact that it was operational from a residential area.

Ever since, the waste material is being removed from the area daily.
