On April 11 Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality led by Mayor Jabulile Mbele visited Ward five in Loskop.

The purpose of the visit was to consult with the community to participate in the affairs of the municipality. The Mayor was accompanied by councillors Mbongwa and Ndumo, Director of Community Service Mrs ZN Ndlela and Induna yeNkosi Mr Mdakane.
The Integrated Development Plan (IDP) road shows serve as a form of engaging with the people and listening to the views of the community.

The Mayor responded to the needs of the Ward five community and mentioned some of the projects lined up for the ward and the stages that the projects are in.
Mrs Mbele also asked the community to speak about the projects they think are needed, so that it can be considered for the 2018/2019 IDP budget.
“As Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality, we decided to embark on community consultation so that the community will raise projects that they think are important to be included in their wards,” she said, adding that the Freedom Charter states that all people shall be entitled to take part in the administration of the country.
