When it comes to going above and beyond to helping one’s community, 39-year-old Preshu Singh is definitely on top of his game.
Armed with a modified racing car, Preshu indulges in the simple adrenaline pleasure provided by spinning his car’s tyres on the tarmac.

“I love anything that has to do with cars, although my main passion is spinning.”
This husband and father of two sons said he had been an avid car enthusiast for as long as he could remember, and was fortunate enough to have passed down his passion for spinning to his family.
“I introduced my wife, Octavia and my sons, Llewellyn and Jordan, to the sport, and they love it just as much as I do. My sons started spinning from the ages of six and seven,” he said.
Apart from being a businessman, Preshu has had his fair share of the limelight, as he has presented a show called Thrill Seeker and is a judge on a reality show called So You Think You Can Spin.
He was also interviewed on Driving in Heels, which aired on SABC 3, and will soon feature in a show called Fantastic Fathers.
Being no stranger to spin-off competitions, this vehicle fanatic brought a brand new type of adrenaline rush to Newcastle, called the 360 Boyz Freedom Day Spin Bash, which took place last Saturday.
“The Freedom Day Spin Bash has been about three months in the making. I started it together with Cosmic Transport Dundee as well as DHM Manufacturers Newcastle, which is also where the event will be taking place.
“They have since become my biggest sponsors for the Spin Bash. The aim of this event was to successfully launch the much anticipated Spin City.”
When asked why he felt the need to introduce the Spin Bash to Newcastle, Preshu said he had always hosted such shows in Dundee, for which Newcastle spectators had to travel 70km to attend.
“To show our appreciation for their loyalty and continued support, we brought the show to them this time around. At the same event, DHM and I will be launching the new Spin City, at 1 Diesel Road (old Venco building), where Cosmic Transporters as well as DHM have built a track specially designed for spinning, which will be used for future spinning events.”
Preshu said he believed Newcastle’s support for the event would take him back to the drawing board, in order to find ways to make the next show bigger and better.

When he is not on the track, or fulfilling his daily work duties, Preshu dedicated his time, effort and resources to helping the destitute community of Dundee.
“I enjoy doing charity work, whether it’s handing out JoJo tanks, building toilets, handing out stationery and even organising Easter Runs and feeding schemes.”
Whether living out his passion on the tarmac or helping the needy, Preshu is a force to be reckoned with in more ways than one.
