PREVIEW: Replica railway station steams ahead at Fort Amiel Museum
With the replica railway station erected at Fort Amiel Museum, curator, Louis Eksteen said interior work was still to be completed.

Work on the Fort Amiel Museum replica railway station is gaining pace.
Museum curator, Louis Eksteen said the project was well on schedule.
The building’s foundation has been laid, the frames erected and the outer structure completed.

What remained was to complete the installation of ceiling boards and cladding on the inner walls.
Eksteen said he expected the project to conclude at the end of June.
“The moving of the railway locomotive is underway.”
