Protest Update: Roads still blocked by municipal staff in Ladysmith; CBD is a “No Go Area” (Video Included)

The CBD in Ladysmith is still currently closed due to protest action.

Municipal workers have closed off Murchison Street with vehicles at the top end near the Caltex garage.

Lyell Street and Crawshaw Road have also been blocked off by the workers.

Municipal workers have gathered in the streets, singing and dancing until their demands are met.

Public Safety and police are currently at the scene.

Many shops in Murchison Street have closed their doors, as it is not safe for them to have their shops open.
