Music is the God gifted tool for healthy living. It is the key to soul, which keeps us physically and mentally healthy. Musical is a melody, which triggers positive thoughts and good memories from the past, favourite places, persons or events. Music is the very soft and universal language, which says everything peacefully and ends all problems without us asking.

Congratulations to the KwaZamokuhle Special School choir that performed in Ladysmith on Thursday as part of the UThukela District Schools Competition.

The choir has been practising under the guidance of Miss Ntombifuthi Mkhize and Miss Gugu Jamile during the year and has consistently received high commendation in the build-up to their performance. On May 3, the choir was part of 40 choirs; this shows us how good they are.

They came first in the Special Schools category in the UThukela district. The choir was rewarded with a huge trophy and medals. This is a fantastic achievement – well done to everyone in the school choir. The school wishes them all the best in the provincial finals on May 18.
