Busy roads in Estcourt still pitted with potholes

Even after repeated calls from residents who frequent this road for the large potholes and fissures to be repaired, it remains like an open wound

If you have had to drive down from the intersection of Fourth Avenue towards Eighth Avenue in Forderville, you’re undoubtedly gritting your teeth as you navigate past the mammoth potholes.

Potholes on this busy road regularly emerge, even after being patched but often it takes months before the pothole repair begins.

Even after repeated calls from residents who frequent this road for the large potholes and fissures to be repaired, it remains like an open wound, scaring this road.

The Estcourt News asked Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality about when areas like this as well as the busy Albert Street extension would be repaired, however no response was received at the time of going to print.

Areas like Oliver Cooke Avenue and Connor Street potholes have been repaired, hopefully this will move into other areas that are in desperate need of repair.
