Heavy winds batter Ladysmith due to cold front approaching

The cold front will bring cooler weather conditions to Ladysmith on Saturday

Strong winds have been battering Ladysmith since this morning (June 14).

The current windy conditions are caused by a cold front which is currently over the Western Cape.

These conditions are likely to affect Ladysmith throughout the day.

The South African Weather Service urges people not to burn anything outdoors, as there is a risk of veld fires easily spreading due to the heavy winds.

Currently, the wind speed in Ladysmith is 11 knots, which translates to just over 20km/h.
