Update: Overgrown vegetation still an issue in Philip Frame Road

"It is difficult to see cars zooming around the bend"

The shrubs and trees continue to grow out of hand in the upper part of Philip Frame Road in Observation Hill.

Residents are concerned that this is an accident waiting to happen, as motorists have no clear view if a car is coming around the corner.

“People used to come and trim the bushes and trees, but I have not seen anyone here to do that job in recent months. We are worried about accidents occurring, as it is difficult to see cars zooming around the bend. The trees have grown so much that they actually ‘graze’ cars,” said one concerned resident.

This is not an isolated situation, as residents across Ladysmith experience similar circumstances.

The municipality has yet to comment on the matter.
