Workers who go out in the service vehicles are in charge of fixing burst water pipes and attending to service delivery issues.
The strike could very well affect the entire Ladysmith area, as no water is coming from the bulk water plants, which supplies hundreds of thousands of homes.
Water tankers are also not operational, which means that all rural areas that obtain water from these tankers will not receive any water.
People are urged to collect water to prepare for any eventuality.
