uThukela workers are on strike in Ladysmith today (June 26).

Workers in the Water & Sanitation Service of the municipality are striking due to a wage dispute.

The strikers have blocked off the entrance to the uThukela depot in the Pieters Industrial Area.

Tyres are being burnt outside the entrance to the depot, with no vehicles going in or out of the premises.
