Fuel Hike: Petrol price to increase tomorrow

Petrol will cost R16.08 and R15.86 for unleaded (95 and 93 respectively), according to the AA

Motorists should brace themselves for another fuel price hike on Wednesday (July 4).

The Automobile Association (AA) expects that the price of fuel will increase by around 30 cents a litre, which will take the petrol price over R16 in July.

“The current data forecasts a rise of around 32 cents a litre for petrol, 30 cents for diesel and 22 cents for illuminating paraffin,” said the AA.

The association said the increase comes against the background of a weakening rand against the US dollar and the price of oil.

Petrol will cost R16.08 and R15.86 for unleaded (95 and 93 respectively), according to the AA.
