SAPS operation yields positive results in oSizweni

The operation yielded positive results as five suspects were arrested for possession of drugs. The suspects are aged between 23 and 40 years old. The drugs are estimated to the street value of approximately R12 000. The suspects will appear at the Madadeni Magistrate Court for possession drugs.

On July 21 , SAPS were patrolling the road between Newcastle, Utrecht and oSizweni.

A suspicious looking male was stopped and searched. Police recovered one 9mm Pistol silver in colour with one empty 9mm magazine. The 29-year-old male suspect was arrested for possession of an illegal firearm.

In a separate incident, SAPS proceeded to the Manzana area, in oSizweni when they spotted a White Mazda 323 motor vehicle, it was discovered the said car was reported stolen in the area. The stolen White Mazda 323 recovered was estimated to the value of  R40 000. Two suspects were arrested and will appear in the in Madadeni Magistrate Court for Robbery case.
